“Continue to use pertinent examples from the class. Continue to stress reduction in big, important-sounding words in writing. Include more strategies and lessons on reviewing documents; the class composition included more reviewers than writers.”

“A great course for anyone looking to improve their writing skills. Even though I have a good writing background, I learned how to reduce wording and still get the main message out. Pam is a good instructor, and she had the class use their writing samples for improvements using the concepts learned in class.”

“I have significant experience as an engineer writing technical documents and I still learned useful tips and techniques in Dr. Hurley's class. This class was a useful refresher for me in technical writing methods and I would recommend it to all technical writing professionals regardless of their level of experience. Dr. Hurley's interactive style was instructive and engaging, especially for a more experienced audience. She kept the discussions on track and useful. The group break-out exercises followed the material and allowed students to practice the concepts presented in class.”

“The content was good but I was not impressed by the presentation. It seemed that the presenter had a lot in mind. At the begenning of each class asking the attendees, where did we go through a certain topic or not because she did not remember it or write it down somewhere.”

“The instructor was professional and well-prepared. The content was organized. The class still needs some refinement specifically for IRS writing, as some of the things the instructor told us not to do are required per IRS engineer guidelines.”
