Thank you for reaching out about this. One thing that may cause that is closing the straw too fast after drinking so the water gets stuck in the straw and come out. Try closing your straw slower and letting the water travel back down in the bottle. Let us know if the issue still persists and send us a video of the leak at service@thehydrojug.com
“I love all my hydrojug products, my traveler cup especially, but you can't take apart the lid to properly clean it and mine is growing mold. I've tried hot soaks with baking soda and vinegar and the mold is still there. Only bad thing I've experienced.”
