“I liked my hydro jug, but it didn't keep things cold all day. Then I see the new stainless steel and I was super excited. Let me preface this with I have extremely sensitive teeth and drink everything with a straw. The straw design on the regular jug is amazing. But whoever thought the lid on the SS one was a good idea, I would love to talk to them!! It isn't a regular straw feel, extremely awkward to use, feels like you are sucking face with the lid and the fixed handle is in the way for the straw or to just drink. Since the side handle is gone, it is way more difficult to hold while drinking. I tried swapping lids from the regular jug to the SS, and it mostly fits but does leak and the straw is too tall for the lid to close. So I am searching for a lidstraw alternative which I'm probably going to have to modify something to fit.
So, I want to love the expensive SS jug, but the lid design is awful but it keeps my water cold.
Also the pro sleeve does fit the SS with some work, not sure why there is zero info on that in any description. I love the strap and the pocket and the designs. For real your marketing people are missing an opportunity on selling them for the SS jugs as well. There are a ton of similar products out there, the sleeve is why I chose hydro jug. Please fix the lidstraw!”
“The reason why I'm giving a 3 star is based on the length of time it took for delivery. I live in Ontario, Canada. Unfortunately, it took just over 30 days. However, the product is outstanding. Well made and it's sturdy. I'm looking forward to meeting my goals with my HydroJug.”
“I love this jug. I haven't been able to jug the quality of how long it stays cold, because I have not used ice yet, but overall pretty nice jug. I have notice that it is stained quickly...”
“I loved it! Until the little plastic buffer piece on the lid came off. Now it leaks all the time if on its side. If it rolls over in the car, at least a quarter if full is now on my car floor before I stop. There aren't even kids to purchase separately.
Such a great product when working properly. Love the feel, look and concept, however not it isn't leakproof.”
“I love the color. I like drinking out of the straw of the plastic bottle better than this bottle, because how the straw is in this bottle I have to use two hands and tip it. Also the top coat of the water bottle already got stained. Disappointed in this bottle verse the plastic make up.”
“Keeps water cold for hours and hours. The tricky part is the lid handle. With it being in a fixed position, if you tilt the bottle up while you're sipping, the handle is right at your head and in your field of vision. A different lid option and this would be perfect.”
“The bottle itself is great in concept. The mouthpiece and handle hold the problems. The spout is awkward to drink out of regardless of whether you're using the straw. If you're trying to sip out of it, the handle is in your face and if you're trying to drink from the straw, there isn't much of a mouthpiece.
I squeezed the bottle into a classic sleeve to make it easier to carry, but a specific sleeve could be nice.”
