“The hydro jug was the best purchase I ever made. I work in the heat and this just make me able to stay hydrated without carrying around bottles at work or constantly filling a insulated bottle. It forces me to drink the right amount of water daily for myself. I recommend to everyone.”
“The idea is fantastic. I love the idea of using only 2 half-gallon bottles a day to get my daily gallon. The straw that dips into the bottle when the lid is closed and the insulating sleeve with a shoulder strap are also fantastic ideas that make hydration easier. I ordered 2 sets of jug + straw + sleeve carrier for ultimate convenience.
Improvements needed: You kind of have to adjust the straw with your finger to get the lid to close (I wouldn't randomly lick my finger, and cleanliness-wise, using my finger to get the straw inside the jug is basically the same thing, IMO.) Also, one of the 2 bottles I ordered is ridiculously hard to snap closed. I would consider it defective, it's so hard to snap. It requires setting the bottle down and either using both hands and pushing pretty hard from the arms, or a solid whack. I'm wondering how long it will be before a half-gallon of water ends up in the passenger seat of my car on my way to work because I didn't whack it hard enough. I would return it as defective, but the returnwarranty policies seem like more of a hassle than it's worth.
Honestly, I love the ideas behind these huge jugs with straws and carrier sleeves, but if I had been able to see them in person, like in a store, I would have thought the price was too high for the soft plastic the jug is made from, the straw that needs help getting inside the jug when closing the lid, and the limited color & design options.”
