“I ordered 2 hydrojugs, both came with an intense plastic smell. I definitely didn't feel like drinking plastic water so I contacted support and they directed me to an article listing ways to clean them. I followed the instructions and it did not remove the smell. So I asked if I could return them and they replied that they cannot be returned because they are now considered used.
They did however say they would do a warranty replacement (but indicated it would only be for 1 of them) and told me they sent it off. That was almost a month ago and I have yet to receive a the replacement.
I do not recommend these, was able to find suitable, stainless steel alternative at Costco.”
