“I have to say I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase. I expected the shade to be compressed within the packaging but not arrive in hundreds of pieces to be built! This so far has proved impossible due to the minute plastic grommets which are impossible to hold let alone fix the pieces together. Sadly, I need to return this item”

“I absolutely love this shade but when I look at it I'm reminded of the hours I spent putting it together. Each layer has to be attached to the next with six tiny, clear plastic studs that have a habit of jumping away from you and disappearing into the carpet. My hands weren't strong enough to push them in so I had to rest the shade on a hard surface to give some extra push - which was fine until the shade was almost complete (then it became more difficult due to the curve). Being small and plastic the studs are not all well manufactured, so some snap in with a satisfactory click while others bend and snag. On quite a few occasions I had to make the holes in the layer bigger in order to fit a bent or misshaped stud. I think it took me at least three hours to put it together, but it's up now and I hope I never had to take it down again.”
