Starting in magical Prague, I was immediately captivated by the fairy-tale charm along the Vltava River, followed by an in-depth 7-hour guided tour of Prague Castle (a true highlight with its stunning views and historic treasures), the iconic Charles Bridge, and the lively Old Town Square where the Astronomical Clock steals the show every hour.
The scenic drive through Bohemia and Moravia to elegant Vienna felt effortless, leading to a panoramic introduction to its imperial grandeur—think Vienna State Opera, majestic Hofburg Palace, and the grand Ringstrasse buildings—plus a dedicated 3-hour guided city tour that brought the neoclassical masterpieces to life with plenty of time left for indulging in Sachertorte at a classic café. Then on to lively Budapest, where the 4-hour guided exploration split between Pest's neo-Gothic Parliament and Heroes' Square, and Buda's Royal Palace and breathtaking Fishermen's Bastion, offered panoramic views that took my breath away.
