“Speaking as a photographer, Morocco was on my bucket list. This trip with Indus Travels provided me with everything I had wished for and more. Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca with its tiles that grabbed the light just so took my breath away. I couldn't stop myself from clicking this masterpiece for 30 minutes straight.
The real magic took place in the dunes of Merzouga, where I was sleeping in a Berber tent. Sunrise over the Sahara was something my camera hardly did justice..the gentle, golden light pooling over endless dunes was surreal. I also loved photographing the vibrant hues of the tanneries in Fez, the movie-set-like desert landscapes of Todra Canyon.
It wasn’t a mere sightseeing trip, it was a quest to catch up with light, color and history in Morocco. The guides knew that mornings and late afternoons were often the best times to visit, and I came home with a memory card full of shots I will treasure forever.”
