“I did the “Treasures of Portugal” tour with my younger brother through Indus Travels, and at 55 it turned out to be the perfect mix of culture, scenery, and brotherly catch-up time. The itinerary flowed really well—from wandering Lisbon’s historic streets and hilltop viewpoints to exploring medieval Óbidos, coastal Nazaré, and the pilgrimage town of Fátima, then ending among the riverfront charm and wine culture of Porto. All the logistics were smooth: comfortable hotels, reliable transportation, and a guide who gave just enough context while still leaving us time to find our own favorite cafés, viewpoints, and photo spots. As Canadians used to doing everything DIY, we appreciated how Indus handled the details so we could simply enjoy long conversations over wine, watch sunsets along the Douro, and soak in Portugal’s relaxed pace.”
