Glucose for each individual persons metabolism, and AFSL2 is up to the task generally. However sensor becomes inactive at temperatures around 5C, which might be an issue in Ireland especially in winter, or at night, if out and about walking or whatever. Additionally the AFSL2 sensor has a tendency to occasionally loose connection with the phone's bluetooth. There are a number of limitations in the interface in the LibreView app, overall it is a fine product which will absolutely allow to discovery of patterns and associations between behaviour/dietary component intake, and Blood Glucose events. Recommend, for improved glycemic awareness and ultimately better health, even if only used for a two week period every year or six months if that is all that the budget allows. . . there are still valuable insights to be gained from that pattern of usage.”
“This was first time using a Continuous Glucose Monitor and I am delighted with it. It is impressively made and was easy to attach to the back of my upper arm following the simple instructions. I used a few pieces of Micropore tape to securely hold it in place and it didn't budge for the 14 days it lasted. It worked flawlessly for the 14 days I wore it and the phone app is equally simple tp use and understand. This is a really big step forward in the monitoring of blood glucose and I 100% recommend it. Shame it's so costly.”
