“he woods around my house are heavely populated with deer (I almost daily see 10-12) and therefore has an extremenly high tick population. When I am in the woods I wear this hat in combination with the Insect Shield treated socks, shirt and jeans. I have never found even a single tick on me since I started wearing this outfit. Not only does the Insect Sheild work great, but the hat is of high quality, fit well and are very comfortable. When this hat is destroyed, which happens with my stuff, I will repurchase this exact hat.”
“I love the hat, very much my style. But as for insect repellent, I just don’t see the benefit. Day one, absolutely swarmed my mosquitos, and since I have a mossy allergy, it just means I still avoid those areas. I’m in Wisconsin where the mosquito is the state “bird”. Horrible creatures, was hoping for much more from this product. 3 stars because I like the style of the hat, but can’t say I see the insect reduction.”
