I wear a size 12 shoe, and initially ordered Large. These were way too small, and could barely fit over my foot, and so had to return them for an XL. To my surprise, the XL was also much too small, and cut of circulation at my ankle and so I had to return that as well. The XL size fit my foot comfortable, but way still too tight around my ankle and calf. Please make a larger sock, they run really small!

In NW PA we have a lot of ticks. These socks provide protection in the yard and garden! Peace of mind is worth everything. I know people who have suffered from Lyme's disease and been hospitalized.

Really feel right for spring/summer hiking. I have not yet laundered them but the quality is high. I have quite a few items of Insect Shield after getting bitten last year and spending four days in the hospital with erlichiosis from a lone star tick, then several weeks to recover my strength. Don't play around with ticks!

I am a size 8 1/2 shoe & even my therapist suggested wearing a larger sock to prevent squished toes- appreciate the smooth fabric of these socks - they stay up and can wear pulled up over long pants with no mosquitoes or no-see-ems nibbling my ankles ! Please, would you start to offer men’s XLG socks for feet that wear a 12-14 shoe or boot?? thanks -

We have been wearing Insect Shield crews for several years for everyday wear during tick season, since our yard and surrounding woods are well-traveled by deer. This year I decided to try these slightly heavier socks. They’re soft and very comfortable for walking and hiking. I’ve found zero ticks on my legs while wearing Insect Shield socks. They provide a great first line of defense. I recommend them for anyone who spends time outdoors where there are ticks or other bothersome insects.
