“I’m happier than I expected to be with this hat. I’m always too warm, but the open mesh kept my head cool on a 90 degree afternoon. It’s amazingly lightweight, yet provides good sun protection for my face and neck. I assumed it would be unattractive, which wouldn’t be the end of the world because I bought it for sun/insect protection…but I actually look cute wearing it.
I have a small head, and the small size fits me fine. It’s easily adjustable.

“I measured to figure out which size to order (S/M). It fits well and is very comfy. It will be super in the tropical heat we now have in Kentucky. Where I garden it's very wet and swarming with mosquitoes all summer long. Ticks are a significant problem as well in the piles of leaf litter. Since I frequently have treatment for pre-cancerous spots on my face, the SPF 50 factor is also key. Along with the comfy drawstrings pants, long sleeve shirt, button up shirt, socks and this hat, all from Insect Shield, I will be well protected year round.”

“This hat is the answer to oily bug control products-I don't need them now! The ventilation helps, too, since it is humid, hot and buggy where we live. I read the reviews and ordered a medium, despite my head measurement falling at the high point of medium and the low of the large size. It fits perfectly since the hat runs big, but there is a drawstring for those with smaller heads. Would love more selection in color but the bugs don't care-they are GONE!”
“This hat is very comfortable in very hot weather. It provides excellent sun and tick protection. I have a small head - size 6 7/8 hat. This hat in S/M is actually a bit big for me. However, the hat is adjustable and I just pulled the elastic tight and pulled the hat down so it covers the top of my ears a bit. It stays on very well. After gardening, no ticks on my head since I got this hat.”
“I was worried this wouldn't fit my pin head but the adjustment tie works great and it fits fine! The hat is light so doesn't get real hot like a baseball cap. I hate wearing hats but you need to so the deer and horse flys don't get in your hair. It also gives nice sun protection in the yard.”
