“I work for a large retail store as a "greeter" and I give smiley face stickers to the kids who come shopping with their parents. They are extremely popular with both the kids and their parents. On several occasions I've seen kids crying because they didn't get to buy a toy, or something else that they wanted. But when I give them those stickers their faces will light up and they stop crying. I've actually had parents gratefully thank me for cheering up their children.”
