It was very crisp and masculine and again not overpowering. This was a fragrance that could go from work in the morning to afternoon meeting to drinks out with friends at night. It was the perfect scent for anything. I did get a fruity smell again but it wasn't overpowering and I still felt masculine wearing it. It just had this ease and I got a lot of compliments for it. “This fragrance is amazing. The initial scent when you put it on is similar to if you opened up a magazine with a bunch of the page samplers in it. However, give it a few minutes and you begin to understand why this is just a great cologne. It does not take a lot, just about what is normal for cologne application to get the desired effect. I would equate the smell to that of a distinguished gentleman, not your grandpa's cologne though. It equated in smell to what I would say an expensive scotch tastes like.
