“..then I’m glad I only blind bought this for $35. To me, it smells like musty (or musky) Irish Spring shower gel, minus the sweet smell you get with that. I don’t smell the pineapple whatsoever, which most people say is the top note of Aventus. As for performance, it’s very good. Too good infact, that I have a hard time washing this stinky smell off my skin. Honest rating would be 2 1/2.”
“This cologne smells very much like Creed Aventus with some subtle differences. Unlike other reviewers I wasn't put off by the initial spray. I have purchased samples of Aventus in the past as I really have a hard time ponying up $300+ for Creed. I bought a sample to test the difference. I find that there is less of a Patuli base in the Club De Nuit and slightly less Bergamot and more Mandarin notes than Adventus. Creed states that they use real Ambergris versus the synthetic in the CDN hence the price difference. Overall I really like this cologne. I find that I can smell the fragrance longer with CDN versus Aventus, although friends have stated that they can still smell Aventus long after I have gotten used to the scent. The shipping was fairly fast and the packaging was sealed and un-tampered with. I will update if I receive any compliments from CDN versus Aventus. I have only had 2 people stop and ask what I was wearing with Aventus.”
