“I hate to be the one to do this. But I'm going to. First let it be known that I am a perfume snob. This does not smell identical to aventus. It smells like a cheaper version. They do smell similar I will give it that. It doesn't last as long, Creed uses extremely expensive oils to make their perfume. These oils may be identical however you get what you pay for.. it's missing this creamy sophistication which gives it a synthetic smell. But does it get the job done? Absolutely it does. It's worth every penny. It's a beautiful smell! ANY time you are compared to Creed it should be one of the best compliments you could ever ask for in the perfume industry. I do believe this is a must have in Your Arsenal. The bottle is beautiful. I love it that it's black or dark so the sunlight can't penetrate as easily as a clear bottle. The dark bottle promotes to the longevity of the perfume if you do not store it properly.”
“Apparently, I am in the fortunate situation of never smelling Aventus so this review is based on my nose alone. Even though I may be late in the game to find this one, this cologne is absolutely awesome to me! It dries down to a very nice balanced warm scent - not too 'clubby'. “Okay... so I have only tried Aventus once while in Dubai (DBX) and was bombarded by high-end scents so my opinion is skewed. I did not care for Aventus at that time but will try in again...on it's own if I can get a decant. I preferred other creed scents as well as a few from parfums de marley, tom ford and the CH confidential collection”
