“This fragrance is extremely pungent and off-putting. I have gotten multiple opinions on this fragrance and everybody hated it. I would feel embarrassed to wear this and do not recommend!!!!!”
“Let's be honest -- if you are here, it is likely because you heard that Creed Aventus is a great smell, but the price point is inaccessible at this time. You are looking for a clone that is comparable. This is where Club de Nuit Intense Man (CdNIM) steps in.However, I'm going to review the fragrance in its own right, and not compare it to Aventus.First, let's talk about the fragrance itself. The opening is like a synthetic lemon that you would smell in a cleaner or candy, and it is hit or miss. For me, that is a hard miss, as I don't think anyone wants to smell like Pledge. That said, it's the only reason I am not giving CdNIM five stars.Once the opening note goes away (takes about 15 minutes), it changes to a fantastic smoky fragrance with amber and patchouli, with hints of some florals.Furthermore, the staying power for CdNIM is amazing. As an EDP, I expect it to last about 12 hours, and it does not disappoint -- the fragrance is noticeable past 24 hours. There is zero need for reapplication. The sillage is above average, but it's not overpowering. As a result, it is good as a universal fragrance. Whether you're at the gym, in the office, going for a walk outside, hanging out with friends in the evening, or going on a date, CdNIM works well. Also, while it works best as a temperate weather fragrance (i.e.: Mid-spring or mid-fall), it works well in all conditions. It won't overpower the olfactory nerves in the summer, nor will it fade into the background during the winter.Once you get past the harsh opening (which takes about 15 minutes), CdNIM is a good smell with amazing longevity and solid sillage. Along with the reasonable value and amazing versatility, CdNim is an easy buy for someone who wants to smell good, while on a budget.”
