“At first spray, I noticed how similar this is to one of the greats.....I dare say that this is a DUPE for Baccarat Rouge 540. It's giving all the saffron, a hint of oud, a trace of grape, some light sweetness, and intensity of that same scent profile as BR 540. It's nowhere nearly as long lasting, but the connection is obvious to me. I consider myself a budding fraghead and I know a good duplicate when I smell one. I think this is NOT BAD for a fraction of what the original costs. They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, so here's a nod to MFK's 540. There, I said it:(”
“Folie for Women EDPThis Eau De Parfum comes in a very nice heavy glass bottle with ornate lid/stopper. Also it is a spray on, which I much prefer (over the dab on type). I sprayed one spray on the inside of my wrist to test it out & wow... it's strong! My daughter came in a short while later & before I could mention it she said "what's that smell??". It is a very intense scent! And that can be a very good thing if you like the scent as it means it will have a lasting effect. Unfortunately this scent isn't for me. If you like the scent I think price wise it's a good buy for the 3.4ounces & the packaging/bottle is delightful.”
“Yesterday when I first put this on, my husband was just coming in the door and asked, "What's that smell?" I told him perfume. He didn't say anything more. But at least he didn't keep complaining about it like he does when I've put on some heavy scented cream. I liked the scent (more after it died down, which it does pretty quickly) but there was also something about it that I didn't like. It seems multi-layered, which is nice -- except when I'm not liking it. After a long soaking bath last night, I could STILL smell it. Even this morning, it was STILL very noticeable on my wrist. Guess I must have used way too much of it. It's a very strong, heavy scent and reminded me of gift shops in the fall. Or of Christmas markets when all the offerings are heavily spiced and the wine is mulling. The fact that this reminded me of good times helped me like this scent. Except when I didn't. Even though I could still smell it from yesterday I put on some more today. A little. In the car my husband said the perfume was "nice but definitely don't use too much of it." Lesson learned. I enjoyed it today but now at 11:18 at night I'm still smelling it and not liking it again. Especially since I feel I don't have control over it. I can't get it to go away when I want too. All that aside, I do like it overall and will use it. Definitely not in the summer. And will definitely keep it to a minimum. This is a good-sized bottle and should last a long, LONG time. The packaging is very impressive. The gold top and tassle seem to shimmer and make the whole package look rich and impressive.”
“I love vanilla and amber scents, so I was excited to try this Folie perfume. The first time I used it, the prominent scent I detected was pine. The scent reminded me of winter time and cooler weather. It was not overly feminine and was more of a universal scent and borderline masculine in my opinion. I wore it for a while and it wasn’t completely offensive, but it was not a scent that I am used to and one that I would selectively wear around others because, as the name implies, the scent is intense. I prefer light, clean scents and this was very woodsy and musky. It would be appropriate in fall and winter, but I think it would be too strong to wear in warmer months. The bottle is generously sized and quite gorgeous. It would look beautiful displayed on a vanity!”
“This perfume smells wonderful. I collect perfume, so I haven’t heard of this brand and I wanted to collect. It is very nice the bottle is beautiful as well. And when you spray it a lot all day and when you wear it, not too strong not too light just the right smell. Makes a great gift idea as well.”
“I'm personally not a fan but this could easily be a favorite of someone else. The scent... I can't put into words these notes I smell, definitely for a more mature pallet. Definitely an A for effort, the design of the bottle is super cute and the size is a great value for the money.”
