“This is a challenging fragrance. This was a blind buy for me based on recommendations, and I've never smelled By The Fireplace, which is the fragrance this one is based on. The good news is that, after dry down, this smells dark and sweet and incredibly woody, maybe burnt sugar and cedar? Unique and classy and expensive-smelling. NOT for every day, only fall/winter, and only special occasions. The challenging thing about this fragrance is the half hour of drydown that smells like… latex? Band aids? It's weird, man. Makes you think “oh no what have I done, I'm on my way to this party, am I going to have to shower again?†Of course this settles down to the cedar/burnt sugar thing that's quite pleasant and odd (in a good way) and unique. I can't recommend this for a blind buy. I'm not sorry I bought it, but I don't expect to wear this very often. If you have a big collection and you're looking to add something on the opposite end of the spectrum from the sauvages, invicti, and aventi- you may find this one intriguing.”

“The Packing is Beautiful - The Bottle is very nice and heavy.Initial few sprays smell like straight alcohol but then die down to a really really sweet, almost like pure vanilla extract, smell with subtle hints of smokiness. Its a very loud and almost nauseating scent if smelt directly but if caught in whiffs, it smells great. I like it but i try not to outright smell it.My kids love it (both are boys) but my wife hates it and gags every time she catches its scent. She acts the same way with 'Oud for Greatness' so maybe its a Her thing lolI like it, but i probably wont wear it as much as id like to since my lady doesnt like it.”
“Bought after watching many reviews. I am a fragrance addict at the moment. My wife does not dig this one. Very strong and smoky!! A bit too much for work for sure. I honestly use this to spray for scent in my vehicle which is perfect. Not saying it can't be used for personal use but be careful. I can see where this one would make peeps back off you. It does smooth out after 1-2 hours and get sweeter.”
