“I just received this fragrance today. This fragrance is for anyone who enjoys strong scents. Think of a wood cabin in the winter, the fire in the hearth is roaring, you are cuddled in a blanket sipping a hot cup of sweet vanilla latte. All the delicious smells wrap around you. The scent from the fire stays in your hair, clothes, and on your skin. The light trail of your warm latte leaves its sweetness in your nose. It was suggested I let this fragrance macerate which I will do- I heard it gets better over time. Some have compared it to BTF by Maison Margiela. I think BTF is sweeter - but in time, I think AAOI might get sweeter too. I do like it- will try to update how the maceration process develops the scent.”
“This fragrance is a steal. You could put it in a different bottle, hype it up, and sell it for niche price. It's almost identical to By The Fireplace. It's less sweet, and doesn't have that oily nutty dry down that I get from By The Fireplace. The roasty, nuttiness is replaced by an earthy oud. Projection is just right for compliments. Longevity is 6 hours of power, and another 6 hours of staying close to the skin. It stays on my clothes for a full 24 hours. It's just an amazing value. Slightly sweet, dry smokiness, holiday spice, earthy oud, and incense. Perfect for every day use from labor day to memorial day. It's a big compliment Puller, and has a very satisfying and calming character to the wearer. With a clone like this, Maison Margiela better watch out.”
