I have a recent obsession with ouds and have started a small collection. I have some of the Al-Rehab oils, and a couple of the Swiss Arabian sprays, which I love, but I was looking for something that was very, very oud-y. The fragrance description of Awraq al Oud sounded like what I was looking for- oud as a top and base note, with a touch of spice and vanilla. It was disturbing that I could not find ONE- not on any website that sells it- review of this particular fragrance. Does it not sell? Does no one like it? Is this a clearance item? What's going on? Customer service, while very kind and courteous, wasn't a lot of help when it came to recommending a fragrance closer to what I'm looking for- but they have hundreds, maybe thousands of ouds so perhaps that's understandable. HOWEVER-- I LIKE this one. I didn't think I would when I sniffed the nozzle straight of the box. Uggh, it smelled like 1980s old lady perfume. But just give this one a minute. This has none of the gourmand that Swiss Arabian's popular Shaghaf Oud has, nor the woodiness of their Dehn al Oud Malaki- two of my favorites. It's not really floral or fruity. It's a spicy oriental that goes on a bit like Opium then dries down to a creamy, close-to-the-skin scent with a touch of woods. If you're looking for strong sillage, this is probably not the fragrance for you. But something like sun-warmed skin, a little spice bazaar, and definitely not for girls in their teens or 20s, you may want to give Awraq al Oud a try.

Wow, I am impressed. The sillage, the strength and depth of this scent is immaculate. This is not a unisex fragrance. It's for grown #$#@# women. It has a 90's aldehydic vibe but it's so fresh smelling. Like white floral clean laundry. But then it has a warm smokey note, a bit boozy with oud just chillin in the background. If you like Givenchy Amarige you would love this. I'm obsessed. Just get it. Its 20 bucks what more can you ask for?!
