“This perfume is the strongest and nastiest perfumes I ever smelled in my life. It gives me a headache every time and it's not even mine. The person that wears it in my household walks around smelling like a bottle of cheap perfume. It just smells like a chemical experiment gone wrong!”
“A lot of people shy away from heavy Arabic colognes. I am middle eastern myself and have always preferred the much more versatile and refined European style of colognes. that said, i wanted to get a little more into oud frags and sampled this at a store. I was blown away by the quality of this cologne at its price point. When applied Velvet oud for the first time, the only thing i could smell was a nice leather. it was pure leather all the way through and i liked it a lot. as i kept on wearing daily however, my nose went right past the leather and into a beautiful vanilla-ish note. Im not personally very good with picking up on or describing notes, but here is an analogy:Velvet Oud smells like a leather jacket that has been worn by someone who has continually worn the most delicious colognes. VO has a familiarity and warmth to it that that is both comforting and very masculine. Velvet Oud and Bently for Men Intense are the only 2 summer/winter frags youll ever need.Performance is also very good with this. i feel like i get a solid 5 hours out of this until it tapers off. even then i dont feel like i need to reapply because it still projects a very nice scent off the skin. the It not a projection monster, but it does draw a respectable amount of distance. All in all, i wouldnt feel comfortable going too heavy on it. You can add a few more sprays if youre really feeling yourself, but i wouldnt advise thinking "cheap price = bad performance".box feels premium with a velvet wrap, which is a nice touch. the cap has a heavy piece of glass as its top ornament. It looks a bit old school, but definitely feels premium and high quality.all in all, much like bently for men intesne, im blown away by this deep, and warm cologne at such a wonderful price.”
“The packaging was extremely attractive. The fragrance of the perfume was absolutely lovely. Very unique, unlike anything I've experienced. Beautiful in it's own way. I noticed other reviews mentioned the fragrance does not last. Very true, because of the alcohols listed in the contents. This was a bitter sweet for me. The fragrance Last on your clothes not your skin..(this was also mentioned in prior reviews)...I will say this, I received a compliment (I sprayed my clothes)from the opposite sex...(cute moment LOL)...I really like it but won't rebuy. Will try something else I've never had. Any suggestions (I like woodsy fragrances)”
“I debated between this and Oud Mood, but I chose the musk because I like Kayali’s musk and I was hoping this would be similar. Spoiler: it’s not at all similar, not even slightly. I’m giving it three stars because the packaging and the bottle are stunning, but the juice inside reminds me of the worst possible version of old lady perfume. It’s not a scent for me, and it’s NOT a safe blind buy. It’s cheap enough that I don’t feel like I wasted too much money, but I’m not sure what to do with it now.”
“I just gotta start with saying how much I love Lattafa, this is my second purchase from this fragrance house and I’m now a life long fan. This velvet Oud is very enticing and and stimulating. Certainly one for an individual that prides them self on being confident and different from the rest. It’s not a scent for everyone for sure definitely niche and refined. I think bottle exemplifies just that !”
