“The first use, I broke off a corner of one cube and put it on the tea candle burner I already had. There was no smell the entire 4-hour candle burn. I didn't want to use charcoal, so the second time I put an empty tea candle (burned away already) and used it as a platform for the tea candle I lit. This raised the flame higher, closer to the plate. I also crumbled the piece of the cube so that it spread out a little instead of being a solid piece. The fragrance hit immediately and filled the entire living room/dining room area (over 600 square feet) in just a couple minutes. It was way too strong for me, so I had to remove the empty tea candle I was using as a platform. Instead, I took one of those round ceramic plates used to burn cone incense, and put it underneath the lit tea candle. This way, the flame was closer to the plate, but not as much as before. You can see it in the picture. This allowed for a perfect amount of aroma spread throughout this part of the house. It's been a couple hours and I still smell it. The candle is still burning and the crumbles still feel soft. The incense pieces get hard like a rock when they're spent. I use Walmart brand tea candles; the super cheap 4hr ones. If you buy a more expensive, slightly taller tea candle, you probably won't need a platform. I don't have to do this with Aromafume brand incense bricks, but they are not made the same way as this incense.Some things to know: There is no smoke, so that's a plus. The package is very small. The square is in 9 cubes. It is semi-moist, so handle with care. It will crumble if you squeeze too hard when breaking off a piece. If you touch it with your bare hands, your hands will smell like the incense very strong for hours even after washing with soap and water. I use two burners consecutively at opposite ends of this side of the house, and it fills ~1000 square feet of home. So, I am getting 4 uses out of each cube because I only use one corner of a cube per burner. It says it lasts 30 minutes if you use charcoal, and there will be smoke with charcoal. I like lighting candles, so it's a plus with a cute tea candle burner. Some charcoal bakhoor closed-burners look cool with smoke coming out the top, so you can actually enjoy it multiple ways. It just won't last as long on charcoal.The wonderful part about this product is that this is a far more complex aroma profile than standard incense. The words exotic and sophisticated come to mind. I am extremely impressed and will be trying the other scents they have. I'm sure I won't like all of them because what smells good is subjective, but I'm sure there's going to be more scents that I will like. I think $4.69 is a great price for this sophisticated of a home fragrance experience.”
