“Got it fast! Great, great scent! But the item arrived damaged. The atomizer doesn’t spray and only leaks. The box was crumpled up and the chain charm was broken off the bottle.”
“Of course, a clone of Aventus. A lot less refined. Somewhat smells like bug spray initially, but eventually dries down similar to aventus. Instead of pineapple, there is a lemon grapefruit note that can be rather harsh. Not bad, but not great either.”
“When tested side by side, Aventus on one wrist, CDNIM on the other, it's very clear which one is Aventus. The quality difference is quite drastic. Also, CDNIM has a very strong citrus note that I find a little off-putting. It's not a nice citrus like fresh lemons, but more of a bathroom cleaning product citrus. This scent would be much closer to Aventus if it didn't have that citrus note, but the citrus overpowers the smokey pineapple that we all love in Aventus.I received the "Made in France" version, so I'm not sure if the UAE version is different.I personally found the Reyanne Insurrection Pure II to be much closer to Aventus than CDNIM. The smokey note may be more subtle in Insurrection, but the pineapple is very clear and not masked by other notes.”
“Disappointed because the bottle had fingerprints all over it before I even touched it which means it was used and therefore not new.The fragrance has a strong offensive opening for about 30 minutes, then the dry down settles into a somewhat fresh citrus blend. I have not smelled Aventus Creed so I can't tell you how it compares to this however I did get a great compliment from an elderly lady when I had this on with my tux. Longevity lasts up to 7 hours on my skin.I purchased this from STERLING PARFUMS and will definitely not do business again with this seller.”
“Great product/service but this scent is very strong/spicy/overbearing It doesn't work for me.. I received the version made in the UAE. The good reviews I've heard about this scent all refer to the version made in France.”
“Ultimately, I keep thinking this cologne reminds of an oriental medicine, think of a pot of stuff cooking with ginger and cloves and ginseng, and god knows what else -- pepper and chicken, maybe? It's hard to pinpoint what I think it smells like. I can also liken it to a violin case -- think of the woods and rosin within the violin case. It smells like that and it lacks the organic dimension of fragrance that a cologne should have in order for it to be wearable. So while I think the cologne is fundamentally OK especially due to its strength, it can be off-putting. It's hit-or-miss. Even 1 spray on the neck makes this cologne a very heavy worker. In my experience, so far, this has been true of most other Armaf colognes.Another noteworthy aspect of Club De Nuit Intense: The bottle is great. It looks good and it's even HEAVY for its size. I like it a lot. But I simply don't plan on wearing the cologne often...”
“Not a fan of this fragrance on me really. It gets some complements up close but has very little projection after about an hour. Packaging and bottle look legit but the longevity makes me think it's fake.”
“This is going to be an updated review since I've owned this for much longer now (1 yr). This is a good fragrance. When I first got it I was so excited as to my nose it smelled similar to Aventus. One thing I want to note is that I personally don't get any pineapple out of this. The sweeter fruity-ness present in Aventus is non existent. That's not to say Aventus is a sweet fragrance (not at all) but it does have a sweetness to it (pinapple/apple). I also appreciate the amberghris that's in Aventus which gives it a salty-er smell. The birch (where the smoke comes from) is good in both fragrances although a lesser quality birch in CDNIM.So what does each smell like overall?Club de nuit intense man:-Lots of lemon. Like most people have noted, when you first spray this it is actually pretty synthetic and smells like a lemon pledge cleaner. The acidic lemon and smoky birch just hits you hard. After 10-15 minutes once the fragrance settles it develops a bit and you can pick up the rose in the background and maybe a green apple (very faint) a bit. After about 1-1.5 hours this fragrance is much better and closer to Aventus. The lemon is still there but is toned down with the smoke hanging around. Near the end of this fragrance all you will get is that smoky birch. The performance is excellent, and lasts 8+ hours every time at least. Projection is just average on me though.Summed up- tart lemon, smoky birch with slight hints of apple and rose. Scratchy, but dries down to a nice scent. I don't know how expensive pineapple is in perfumery, but it seems like Armaf tried to mimic a pineapple accord by using apple and lemon but it's hard to get passed that sour smell lemons give off, and its prominent in this.Aventus (batch 16h11 for those who care):-A fragrance with many juxtapositions. When you first spray this, it doesn't matter how close you smell it...it's smooth. The first thing I get is a tart pineapple that hasn't fully ripened and it gives the fragrance a slight sweetness. You will also get the birch which is again smokey, but you can pick up bergamot, apples, patchouli, and slight vanilla. The balance of each note in this is immaculate. There isn't too much of anything. It also doesnt have that acidic lemon smell you get of CDNIM. The performance is excellent and I get at least 8 hrs every time but this thing projects out like a beast. I will have people comment on my fragrance 3-4 feet away 7 hours after applying it.The sweetness of the pineapple and apple play off the tartness of the smoky birch and salty amberghris. It's rough and masculine but it has an inviting aspect with the fruity notes...a true masterpiece. For a reccomendation I would say save up for Aventus and get the real deal. Not that it matters, but I have never once received a compliment wearing CDNIM (your wearing may differ). With Aventus, every single time I wear it I get multiple compliments. Especially people asking what I am wearing. That tells me the Aventus smells better not just up close but in it's sillage. But considering the price you pay, CDNIM is not bad at all. It is, however, no where near Aventus in quality and balance of notes.”
