“The perfume arrived safely boxed but was not packaged correctly by the manufacturer. The top of the bottle had come off and leaked through the packaging causing the gold coloring on the bottle to flake off. The perfume is nice but definitely more male than female.”
“First, the packaging and pricing? Amazing! I’ve worn and bought Middle Eastern perfume oils for decades, and this one is on the cheaper end. Trust me, I’ve bought or been gifted 1/2 oz bottles that sold for over $600! This is NOT that. Several negative reviews said it smells like bug spray. When first applied, there is a distinct metallic smell. Be patient. As it “dries down” into the middle and base notes, it is quite pleasant. There is no oud in this, but very nice for under $30. Personally, I’d class this in the “gift for your cousin/friend you rarely see, but are obligated to bring a gift for their birthday” category. The bottle is bejeweled with rhinestones and goldstone filigree. The box is a work of art.I’m going to layer some sandalwood amber oil over this to kill the initial metallic buggy scent. Also, doesn’t last like the oud-based oils. Those can go 2 days, yes, even through a shower! If you want a true Middle Eastern perfume like you’d get at the perfume souk, get an oud based oil. This one is ok with a little tweaking. But value for money, five stars.”
