“With the understanding that fragrances develop differently on everyone, especially oils, I will say that on me Noora is gorgeous, but my body chemistry works well with fragrance oils. The opening notes are typically sour/woody, as I’ve come to expect in Arabian perfume oils with a strong oud note. However, within minutes it develops into a honeyed amber with citrus, and the heart and bottom notes are powdery and last throughout *literally* the entire day. Longevity is 12 hours on me, but I put it in my hair, so that might make the difference. On my wrist, 8 hours after a light application, I can still smell Noora as a powdery, warm, golden musk. I personally find the term “old lady” offensive when describing fragrances, for obvious reasons, and also find it a silly assumption as some of the best fragrances are over a hundred years old. This is a warm, inviting, voluptuous scent, so if you’re a fan of fruity florals and linear, modern scents, this might not be to your liking. The bottle is beautiful and well-made. It has a glass wand applicator, and a little bit goes a long way. **** I also purchased Noora Onyx, and it’s as nice, if not nicer, than the golden Noora. You cannot buy a better quality fragrance for the money. Really, really gorgeous.”
