“This Valencia Eau de Parfum smells great after you take a fresh shower. The reason I say this is when I sprayed on my skin after working out… It tended not to smell so great…. If you stuck your nose into it real deep, it actually smelled like urine. It must have been the combination of the cologne mixed with the sweat.HOWEVER, after I took a fresh shower, I sprayed on, and it smelled amazing after a few minutes. It is a sweet, seductive smell. It works for both men and women. It is unique, kind of floral, but with other sweeter notes, such as apple, and lemon. What I couldn’t believe is that I could still smell this on myself the next morning when I woke up. It really lasts that long! So for longevity, it gets an A+++++.”
“I actually really love the smell of this cologne/perfume. It smells like a strong men smell but at the same time it kind of has a mellow sweetness to it. I really liked this and the bottle is pretty big which last a long time. You just need a few sprays of this a day since its a bit strong.”
“I have always enjoyed men's cologne with my history dating back to pre teens when I looked forward to receiving a new bottle for Christmas. Being that I only was able to receive a bottle once a year I grew to appreciate a cologne as a cherished item. I now am able to be much more liberal with my cologne and appreciate a bold scent when presented with one. With this super nice fragrance from the Valencia brand I have found a scent that is strong but not overpowering. The trick to achieving the perfect cologne is to be able to pull off exactly what this Valencia scent has accomplished. Not only is the fragrance great the bottle looks neat making this a great gift option. It is always an extra added bonus when you have a neat looking glass bottle on your shelf. I am wearing this scent right now at work and have noticed the longevity with just one spray. I have traveled the 30 minutes by car to my work location as well as and hour and a half being here. So after two hours I can still totally detect the scent. I am very happy with this short term result and want to stress that you only need one spray. I suggest that based on the intensity but at the ends of the day each for their own in relation to how many sprays you use. There are several scents mentioned within the product page and I can definitely detect a lemon fusion of some sort as for bergamot - I am not sure how that smells independent of this fusion. In conclusion I am very happy with this fragrance and recommedn it.”
“I'm a little torn on this scent, but I'm overall a fan. First off this scent smells like cash and diamonds, and by that I mean it definitely smells expensive, like a scent that would be wafting through the counters at Saks or Nordstrom. The top notes are most definitely "zingy" as described, with an initial punch of energetic and light fragrance I immediately liked. I was however a little bummed to observe that it gave way to a much more heady, deep, bold undertone that lingered a very long time and did not dissipate but remained noticeable to the nose for hours and hours. Had I loved the fragrance, this would have been very desirable, but there is just something about that undertone that is a little too dense for me. I did not find the fragrance powdery or soft, but more sharp and commanding. I ended up with a headache after wearing this a few hours, however I'm not committed to believing that was the fragrance by any means. I get headaches frequently, this could totally have been a fluke. I'm most definitely planning to continue trying it to see if it grows on me, because the initial fragrance is so pleasant I'd like to come around on the primary scent.Overall scents are subjective, so while I did not necessarily find the fragrance personally appealing on me from start to finish, I most definitely appreciated the longevity of the overall scent, the blend creativity, the size of the bottle and the beauty of the design, and the quality of the fragrance itself. I did think the packaging was a little unexciting as this brand actually makes another perfume I really like (Black Rose by sawalef x swiss arabian) and that product is presented in a really nice box with a keepsake velvet bag complete with a crystal charm. I expected the same level of presentation in this product but didn't quite see it. I still thought the final product was beautiful and would absolutely suggest it to others who prefer a strong fragrance! Recommended overall.”
“I really think this can be worn by male or female, but I would lean more towards this having a more masculine scent. It is not overpowering and lasts a pretty decent amount of time. My husband really likes it and I like how it smells on him. This is a nice size bottle”
“To me, Valencia is unisex. It leans towards masculine, but women who enjoy wearing sandalwood might like it. I often JUST wear sandalwood, and I really like this. When you first get this, I advise you to use ONE spray and don't judge too quickly. I find this perfume harsh at first - downright overwhelming. It takes about 10 minutes for the drydown to begin, and the magic develops over the next 30 minutes as it softens and develops in complexity. It's mildly fruity over a tremendous base that is powdery amber sandalwood with just a hint of musk. I don't find the musk to ever be dominant. That base note has tremendous staying power too - over 24 hours on me!To me, the biggest downside is that the bottle is so plain. I do think that a beautiful bottle is a bit part of the pleasure of owning any perfume. This seems a bit like having a real magic potion in a mason jar. I would not gift it to anyone who does not ask for it because of the bottle. It makes it look like a budget perfume.”
“there's this perfume i have called "What We Do In Paris Is Secret" and i am convinced that this is the unisex or male version of it - except it costs about 1/5 the price - but there are a lot of similar notes and one specific one that i absolutely love. i'm terrible at identifying what's what - i just know what i like and i really like this scent. it's called out as the masculine one but i think it's somewhat unisex. i honestly thought it was the unisex one when i chose but it works out anyway because i love it (on myself, as well as the mister).that said - like i said i can't really call out the individual layers within the fragrance - but there are definite layers. no florals, more along the lines of musk, pepper, and amber. if i were to give it a time of day - i would go with late afternoon or happy hour, not bright and early and not late and dark - but easily transitions to late and dark. it also lasts! like for real lasts! lasts longer on clothes and seems to actually waft out when you wear it on the clothes - on the skin i think it actually sticks closer to you and does wear off a little faster by faster i mean a lot of hours later. on the clothes it seems to last a day or two. and a little goes a long way - one full spray is like plenty.i wasnt sure what to expect with it - definitely not after realizing i had chosen the men's version but i really like it. OH and here i am just talking about my experience - but to note the mister likes it also. we both like it - but we don't wear it at the same time, that would be weird.”
“Definitely distinctly masculine. I own other Swiss Arabian fragrances, and they are all some of the most potent perfumes I've ever tried. In fact, it is actually a little challenging to make sure you don't over do it. It can get on your fingers and the smell is hard to wash off. This smelled really good to both my husband and I when we first sprayed it, but then it got kinda old, kinda fast. I think it is a great fragrance, we just decided it wasn't our style. This is a hard fragrance to describe. It is almost sporty and dressy at the same time. A little spicy and a little like an ocean breeze all in one.”
