“We had a great experience booking through Isle Blue, and our concierge Mary made everything smooth and stress-free. From organizing grocery provisioning to booking a private chef, the process was seamless and easy, which really set the tone for our trip. The villa grounds themselves were beautiful and truly looked exactly like the pictures and videos — a stunning property with plenty of space to enjoy. That said, there were some issues during our stay that held back the experience. The biggest downside was the sewage smell in the master bedroom/bathroom and the gym, which was hard to ignore. The bedroom next to the master (with two double beds) really isn’t fit to be rented out in its current state — there’s little to no air circulation, and my guest who stayed there was not happy and opted to sleep on the couch for the entire trip which is not the experience I would’ve liked my guest to have. We also had an ant infestation in the Master Bathroom, specifically in the laundry basket. Thankfully, the housekeeper Yolaine kindly did my laundry for me and was very generous with her help. She was pleasant overall, but for a property of this size, one housekeeper is simply not enough — we noticed that the villa wasn’t cleaned to the highest standard. The pool was gorgeous but way too deep for non-swimmers, with no real shallow area, which limited how much some of us could enjoy it. The oven and stove also weren’t very intuitive, and we really should’ve received a more detailed tutorial upon arrival to avoid the frustration. Another small frustration was the $200 Isle Blue credit — it was difficult to use since I didn’t want to rent a car or book an activity. It would’ve been so much more useful if it could have gone toward private chef services or grocery provisioning. Unfortunately, it just went to waste. On a positive note, Laurent from Fabulous Feasts was excellent — both the Brunch and Dinner with him were amazing and really elevated our stay. Overall, our experience with Isle Blue was great but the villa itself fell short in some important ways. I’d rate the property a 6.5/10.”
