What a glorious day! This boat is beautiful, the crew so knowledgeable and accommodating, worth every penny. Emilio and Alpha are local experts, with tons of insights we never would have known otherwise. Loved meeting Jojo the dolphin who swam aside our boat for so long-once in a lifetime experience! And Alpha was a terrific snorkeling guide, diving in and out of caves. Highly recommend!

We had a very disappointing experience with Isle Blue in Turks and Caicos. We paid $2,000 for a 4-hour private boat charter and it did not live up to expectations. First, they arrived 20 minutes late to pick us up. Then, toward the end of the trip, they tried to bring us back 30 minutes early. I had to stand my ground to receive the full time we paid for, and Captain Emilio clearly had an attitude after that. What was most frustrating is that nearly every destination we requested was turned down. We were repeatedly told places were “too far” or “an hour away.” One specific spot we wanted to visit was allegedly too far, yet the very next day we booked a different boat (for much less money and only 2 hours) and made it to that exact same floating bar in about 25 minutes — with time to spare for additional stops. That same location Isle Blue claimed was an hour away and not doable. Instead, we were taken to Iguana Island (which was fine but not something we specifically cared about) and a floating bar that was just “okay.” We paid to explore and customize our experience — not to be told no repeatedly. After speaking with others about our experience, it honestly felt like they were being cheap with gas. That is unacceptable when clients are paying premium prices for a private charter. The food was not good either, though that wasn’t our priority. All we wanted was to explore and enjoy the freedom of a private charter, and we didn’t get that. The only positive was our server, Alpha, who was kind and pleasant. Unfortunately, Captain Emilio’s attitude overshadowed the entire experience. For $2,000, we expected flexibility, professionalism, and a true private charter experience. We did not receive that. I would not book with Isle Blue again.

Dear Shirley, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that your experience did not meet expectations. Hakuna Matata is a 38-foot luxury cruising vessel designed for relaxed coastal cruising rather than high-speed travel. Due to her size and draft, certain shallow locations in Turks and Caicos cannot be accessed safely without risking damage or running aground. Travel times also vary depending on the vessel type, and faster catamarans can reach some destinations more quickly than a larger cruising yacht. This charter is operated by a licensed external partner who manages crew and navigation, and we have shared your comments with them directly. Guest experience and professionalism are very important to us. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective. Warm regards, The Isle Blue Team
