The umeshu plum wine in this large glass bottle has been made using the traditional Japanese recipe, by stewing ume plums in a solution of strong shochu alcohol and sweetener until it turns a golden brown colour and has an intense sweet/sour taste. “A lovely bottle of uneshu with simple ingredients, no flavouring, no artificial sweeteners.There are a decent amount of whole ume plums in there.It is getting chilly outside, so I use it as hot umeshu. In the summer I will serve it with crushed ice.I would highly recommend this product.”
