DescriptionA fun and interactive introduction to basic Japanese language.Popular for their in-depth chapter layout and a more natural, easy-to-understand approach to learning essential Japanese speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, the Genki series of textbooks is a balanced and exciting resource to build your early Japanese studies around. Now in its third edition after feedback from several schools and universities, this 11 chapter, Volume 2 textbook covers the latter half of the Genki course, using the everyday experiences and cultural encounters of international exchange student, Mary and her friends, to teach key grammar and vocabulary that expands on your independent use and understanding of basic Japanese. Varied in content, with English explanations and illustrations that explore more detailed uses of simple Japanese and its most commonly-used Kanji characters, there's no shortage of exercises, listening and reading materials to challenge and increase your essential language knowledge, whether its creating more expressive sentences in conversation or being able to correctly identify and relay information in natural Japanese. Improved with key notes on grammar and culture points that you're likely to encounter when reviewing your work, this textbook picks up on common mistakes and prepares you more proactively for Japanese learning on all fronts, with workbooks, online resources and audio files to carry out independent study. Completing this course will provide with knowledge of almost 300 kanji and 1,100 words to prepare you for intermediate level Japanese.Written by Eri Banno, Yoko Ikeda, Yutaka Ohno, Chikako Shinagawa and Kyoko Tokashiki.ISBN: 978-4-7890-1732-9ITEM ID: 17022

I will be using this in my ** lessons. Based on my use of Genki 1, I can imagine this will be just as well written and easy to understand.
