DescriptionAn especially flavoursome bonito dashi from the ‘soup stock craftsman’ series.
This dashi combines three different types of bonito (coarsely crushed, shavings, and powder) with kelp, maximising the umami and aroma of the bonito to the fullest extent. Flavoured with soy sauce and salt, this is a versatile bonito dashi that can be used without any other additional seasonings.
The tea pack style sachets can be used to easily create stock or season a variety of dishes.
Made in Aichi, Japan.
PreparationEasy to use tea bag style sachets.
Simmered stock:
Add one sachet to a pan of water and simmer for a few minutes to produce the dashi stock. For clear soup (500ml /1 sachet), Miso soup (700ml/1 sachet)
Takikomi gohan:
Tear open and mix lightly two of the sachets with the 3 cups of rice, add the other ingredients of your choice and cook.
Somen tsuyu:
Add 1 sachet to Soya sauce 120ml, Mirin, 120ml and Water 500ml. Bring to the boil for 2-3 min and then cool. Add sugar to sweeten to your taste.
Hot pot/simmered dishes:
1 sachet/500ml water with ingredients of your choice. Add soya sauce, sugar and salt to season further.
