“The Alpen Ridge has a great ski in/out location and is very handy to shops, cafes, super markets, food outlets, bus stops & restaurants. Unfortunately we were on the ground floor without a view and in a smallish studio room due to our late booking and hence restricted room availability. However the room was adequate, clean, serviced well and enabled us to cook meals and do laundry. The Alpen Ridge staff were all great & helpful, especially Jackie.”

“Lovely and cozy hotel located at the heart of Upper Hirafu. Superb service and really convenience to have the ski shop right on the spot. Look forward to come back soon for another stay with family.”

“Location excellent and room was nice. Staff are great, but the lockers are cold so anything left overnight doesn’t get dry.”

“Alpen Ridge is has an extremely convenient location with easy entry into the the Ace Family Lift. We took the penthouse and the amenities were great with a view to die for in the morning. However for the number of people we had, the locker was a little small to accomodate the large amount of ski gear we had. Also, the clearing of the trash and waste should be done daily.”

“Concierge/front desk @ Alpen ridge are the best. Helping with dinner reservations, recommendations were en point. Esp the very helpful Japanese man, who even helped fish out the sled that fell near the river behind the hotel.”
