“I spent 7 days at this wonderful hotel. The location is perfect walking distance to lots of restaurants, Nakiyama lifts, Lawsons, Happo bus stop, free bus shuttle 30 meters from hotel. The service is fantastic, the owner (sorry i forgot your name) went above & beyond to pick me up in Tsugaike & then take to Wadano after my stay. The room was big & comfortable. The traditional Japanese breakfast was awesome. Dinner was delicious. I really enjoyed the indoor & outdoor onsen & sauna. Just what you need after a big day on the slopes. All the old skis & memorabilia was great to look at. All the staff were great. I will definitely be back”

“Could not recommend this hotel enough! Like a gorgeous ski lodge, only a few minutes walk to the lifts and everywhere you want to eat and drink - the room was so spacious, great breakfast and wonderful staff who were so helpful. The indoor and outdoor onsens were the icing on the cake!!!”

“This was my second year staying at Hotel Taigakukan. The location is brilliant, the rooms are huge and the staff lovely. It is fairly traditional and the breakfast is unique! The fire place is cosy and the décor very much in keeping with a ski lodge. It is a very central and nice place to stay.”
