Thanks Penny, for the feedback. "Jersey" refers to how the fabric is knitted and it is soft and stretchy, like T-shirt material. The word "Jersey" has nothing to do with how thick it is. This turban is single-layered. Personally, this turban should be good for QLD weather. If you would like to have something thicker, we do have them but in a slightly different style. If you haven't worn it or tried it on yet, you are most welcome to return the item. We do have a strict return policy due to personal hygiene reasons.
