“I've been abusing my 3rd Gen 4runner for the last 15 years trying to reach high mountain 4WD trailheads to climb mountains. I'm not really a 4WD enthusiast so much as I am an out of shape backpacker who needs as much mechanical help as he can get in reaching the backcountry. I had no experience repairing my 4runner until the original parts started failing about 8 years ago. I've learned a little in repairs since then, but still not much. Having said that, I wish I had installed JBA Uper control arms and ball joints YEARS AGO. Even for me the installation was fairly simple and easy. I love the ball joint design too. Genius idea. The design allows for easy bolt on replacement on the road if they ever get damaged. Assuming you bought extras and keep them with your onboard repair kit.”
