“I bought these uca's for my 17' F150 and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I had a set of SPC uppers and had those on for just over a year before I swapped over to these. Compared to stock the SPC's were an improvement, but I always worried about the ball joint sliding out of adjustment and wreaking havoc on my alignment and so I never pushed my truck as hard as I wanted on washboard roads.
A few months ago I took my truck in for an alignment after I had replaced a cv axle, and the techs informed me that my ball joints and one side of bushings were bad and would need replacing. After doing research on what it would cost to replace the ball joints and all the bushings (might as well if I was going to pull it off) I nearly pooped my pants seeing +$350 in just parts, and that's not including all the labor to remove and press in the new bushings! Since these arms only lasted a year, I started looking at other options. I've always wanted to try a uniball setup but living in Utah I deal with road salt/grime and I didn't want excessive maintenance just to keep things from squeaking and wearing out prematurely. There was the Icon Delta joint, really cool but very expensive. I bit out of my budget. Then I found these.
I'd heard of JBA through Toyota forums and can't recall ever seeing a negative comment about them. And on one Ford forum there was a member who shared a link to this page showing that JBA now had uca's for full size Fords. The price was right, very competitive, and I love the ball joint; very high angle operation and easily removed with 4 bolts (similar to the Kryptonite arms I had on my Chevy). I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of red being the only color, but I figured what the heck let's give them a try.
IMO these arms are the best you can get for the money: excellent packaging, well built (these things are beefy), awesome ball joints and bushings, great customer service, and they look damn good. Install was a breeze and my alignment is near perfect, and after having these on for a little over a month I firmly believe that the ride is better than what my SPC arms provided. These arms don't have as much vibration as my SPC's did when recovering from potholes or speedbumps, and I no longer worry about that ball joint sliding out of spec. Overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
And the red actually looks kinda cool.”
“I bought a 2017 f150 with Rough Country arms. Didn’t like the angle of the ball joint, they wore quick, and had poor stability when hitting uneven areas of the road. I found JBA through forum recommendations and the praise is well deserved. The quality of these arms is great, they are stout, easy to maintain with the grease points. The ball joint replacement when needed in the future will be a breeze compared to either pressing the joint or replacing the uca with other arms which requires taking out the strut, etc to get to and is just a time consuming pain. I took the sheet of recommended alignment angles to the shop and the front end feels solid now, handles bumps, corners and highway speeds so much better. No squeaking, no noise and no rubbing at full lock either direction with 295/70r18 trail grappler tires. Red arms against the black paint looks great as well. These arms are 100% worth the cost, I’m glad I went with them.”
“I had never heard of JBA Offroad when I bought my 1st set of UCAs. I called and Marlin provided a full walkthrough of their product and even had suggestions to color match to my truck. I was very impressed and ordered a set immediately. They were delivered the next day!
The workmanship was impeccable, welds were perfect and the powder coating was so nice that I felt bad about recoating them to match my truck. These are heavy duty UCAs! I installed them and have been driving on for about a week now. I must say again, VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! I highly recommend these to everyone. If you have any doubts, talk to Martin and I'm sure you will be placing an order as well.”
“The quality appears quite good. I have not installed them yet as I am waiting on other parts at the moment. I will update as soon as install is completed.”
