“Maybe I've just had a string of bad luck, but I've noticed that customer service in the automotive aftermarket industry is mostly subpar, if not terrible. There are a couple of companies I have sworn off ever giving my business to, and there are a couple that I swear my loyalty to. Marlin at JBA falls squarely into the latter.
Not only does Marlin deliver an excellent product, his customer service is above and beyond. He is highly knowledgeable, overly communicative, and especially attentive. Upon submitting my order for 4Runner STD high caster UCAs, I immediately received text confirmation of my order along with a follow up question regarding a product change. He recently upgraded the ball joint boot and gave me the option to receive my UCAs ASAP with the classic boot, or wait a couple weeks for the new boot. It may seem minor, but that kind of communication is rare these days.
Packaging, installation instructions, and the quality of the UCAs themselves were all fantastic. I was able to achieve 5+ degrees of caster with these UCAs. I was only expecting about 4 degrees, so that was an awesome surprise! To this day, I'm still receiving reminder emails to grease my ball joints. “Installed on my 2021 4runner Trail with 3” Toytec lift. I did have to run 1.25” spacers on my OEM 4Runner Trail wheels on BFG 285/70-17 to clear the UCA. So far, this UCA shows promising signs. Definitely beefier than stock and although not adjustable ball joint, it has kept the rig at 3 degree caster.
