When I was taking ring size measurements, mine ended up being around 8.5, so I was a bit disappointed to find the more limited range in sizes. However, when I got the ring and put it on, it turned out the size 8 was actually just the right size, in a way I can easily take it off but still wear it comfortably - the 8.5 might have been a miscalculation on my part, then.
I now wear the ring either on my finger, or around a necklace in the same fashion as Frodo did in case I'm afraid of losing the ring in public (can't lose my precious...).
