“I like the big bags a lot, and the vanilla flavour, but I didn’t liked the chai latte flavour at all. I mix it with inroasted almond milk instead of water.”
“I staeted working out, noticed that the macros in plenny shakes were a bit off. Then bought the banana version of the active shake and was blown away. It's way better tasting for some reason than the other shakes and the big bag is the best.”
“I've bought two pouches of Plenny Shake Active (Vanilla and Banana). I have to say that at first I really couldn't stand the taste, but after a few shakes I started to like it.
I like the fact that it saves you a lot of time and it is eco friendly using big poaches. I didn't give 5 starts because:
1 - The consistence of my Vanilla Shake is not uniform and there are little dark pieces (I assume and hope they are just ingredients which have not been powdered completely).
2 - I'd prefer the taste to be a bit more sweet, just a little bit. But as long as you use healthy ingredients I don't mind too much.
It is a good product and it is so convenient that I'd consider also other products from this company.”
“I'm really enjoying plenny shake active: it has a nice taste and the big bag is much more practical, with less waste. I use to eat a lot, so I make 12 lunches out of one bag.”
“Been using it for two weeks now for both breakfast and lunch, and the only thing I can knock it down for is giving me horrible-smelling garbage farts. As with all diet-related stuff, your mileage may vary.
As for the shake itself: all of the flavors are inoffensive and don't overwhelm with sweetness. The formula isn't at all cloying or gritty either; it's something I would happily drink to fill the space of all three meals if I didn't have to do dinner with family. It satiates well enough for 2-3 hours at a time for me, which with three shakes gets me through the day until dinner time.
On a more subjective note: I was an early time Joylent supporter before the name change and successive reformulations but stopped sometime in 2014 because the maltodextrin would always spike my blood sugar. I love that this has zero maltodextrin, and feel normal energy throughout the day. I also really appreciate the higher protein content because it basically replaces my regular shakes *and* provides clean good post workout energy. Overall I'm looking forward to subscribing because the active Plenny Shake is my new safety net for well-being. Seriously, I used to skip breakfast and eat lunches at weird times and probably got get weird and depressed at times because of it. It's nice finally having zero excuse for eating (or rather drinking) a balanced meal.”
