“It is not the taste I expected but is ok. After taking only one-week Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake I had no feeling of hunger or anxiety, cool. No scoop on shipping but not very important, it must have been an oversight”
“Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake vanilla tried. It’s good when you don’t have time to sit and eat. Have to get used to having a liquid (like soup) in my stomach instead of something more solid like a piece of bread. But good taste and the shaker is very useful,”
“A friend and I decided to try and supplement our diets with food replacement powder on our expedition to Norway. This would allow for a balanced diet, save weight and space as we would not have any chances to stock up in the 3 weeks. First off the idea was a revelation and worked very well. 2000 or so calories a day from Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake, supplemented with other solid food is enough for a days trekking. My friend used Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake and I decided (for the sake of variety) to use Huel (what a bloody mistake). The Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake was so much better than Huel in every regard.
1) Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake tastes better than Huel
2) Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake mixes much much better then Huel (The lumps in huel made me vomit several times on the trip)
3) Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake comes in different flavours (eating huel for 3 weeks drove me semi mad)
4) Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake requires far less water than Huel (much more practical)
However I did get a free T-shirt with the Huel (Even 10,000 T-shirts would not be enough to make me drink another shake of Huel)
To conclude, Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake is soo much better than Huel (don't buy Huel)”
“It's kinda hard to put the Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake in the shaker. Because the opening of the bag is much larger than the opening of the shaker there is always some spilling. Taste of vanilla and strawberry are my favourite.”
“Been fairly happy with using Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake every day for the past few weeks in place of my previous unhealthy lunch habits. However I will confess the texture takes a bit of getting used to, not in an unpleasant way but just because it's different!”
