“I simply love them. I take two meals a day, breakfast and dinner, and at lunch I eat with my collegues at work.
I prepare two bottles the previous night and leave them in the fridge so I can have them cool.
I though that I wouldn't like the Vanilla flavour very much, so I started with it, and I actually love it.
It is somthing that fits my self perfectly, saving time in cooking, shopping, storing, doing the dishes and eating so I have more time to work and study.
Simply perfect.”
“First of all, let me state something clearly: I'm addicted, I can't imagine my life without Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake (or other product of that type) anymore. It gives me unprecedented freedom and I just feel good after eating it. That being said, let me get to some complaining.
Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake doesn't mix with water as easily as it could, preparing a small serving in a cup needs a lot of thorough stirring. But it's not critically important, the pitcher almost solves the problem, just don't forget to get it (and maybe some extra ones for backup or sharing with others).
Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake is somewhat chalky, especially right after mixing. Also, right after mixing it's a little watery, but in a short time it gets more... umm... I guess 'viscous' is the word, which - don't get me wrong - is not a bad thing as it feels more filling.
It took me a couple of days to convince my body and brain that I can stop feeling hungry after drinking something. Unfortunately, it doesn't really get past stopping feeling hungry, it doesn't give that 'oooh, I'm so full, it's so good...' feeling that a fine traditional meal does. It's fine as long as you have something better to do than eating.
banana - My personal favourite. As tasty as Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake can get without adding overhelming amount of flavouring. I'll probably stick to it.
chocolate - Actually doesn't taste like chocolate, if I were to tell what taste it is, I'd say it's unflavoured. Quite good. Can be easily flavoured to one's liking.
mango - Well, that taste is just weird. I don't know whether I simply don't like mangos or there is something wrong with this imitation.
strawberry - I don't like stawberries, but my fiance (it's the grown-up word for a girlfriend, right?) says it's tasty and doesn't leave unpleasant aftertaste.
vanilla - I'm not really into vanilla flavoured stuff, so...
A couple of tips:
- Don't get 100% Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake at first day, ease in over a course of couple days.
- Drink slowly! You don't usually eat a large meal in two minutes, do you?
- It's a great source of energy not only for you, but also for nasty little beings that spoil our food, so refrigerate it if you are not going to consume it in a couple of hours after mixing. Also, it just tastes better when chilled.
- Don't mix with hot water, you will destroy vitamins and stuff.”
