“It does what it claims. It feels very nutritious snd you feel full for a long time. The shaker bottle is rather effective. Once you get used to it it actually tastes quite good, and you don't crave other foods.
There are a few minor downsides. It tastes powdery unless you let it rest mixed with water for a bit. The shaker bottle is built so that it gets stuck on the cap, and once you close it it always spills over the bottle. The specified number of cups giving three meals don't correlate with reality. It would also be great if you could decide how many bags of which flavour ypu want. And the price is of course still a bit prohibitive.”
“Takes a little getting used to as a meal replacement you don't exactly feel full to begin with, you still want to eat, however after a day or so this passes and you don't feel the need to eat solid traditional foods at a mealtime.
Note;- This is more to do with the mechanics or habit of eating not hunger pangs.
Am currently making it my go too breakfast for running out the door early mornings and replacing 12-15 meals a week.
As of 21 july their was no Banana flavour in the variety box however the deficit was made up with the other flavours (Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry) & a free Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake Wake up! was included as an apology.
Of the flavours i would recommend the Vanilla above all the others it was by far and away the best flavour to me, followed by Chocolate then Strawberry.
The Strawberry and Chocolate aren't bad at all just not as good. Nor can i stomach chocolate taste for breakfast...
Also chocolate seems the hardest to mix forming clumps more easily.
Feeling great no adverse effects at all, the price is alright and the free shaker and measuring spoon for new orders are a pleasant surprise.
The recommended amount per shaker (so per meal) is 3.5 Scoops.
I've been using more like 3 & then i may add a little water after drinking some.
You can absolutely do this, it's a taste thing, just be aware you wont get quite the 33% of a bag in nutrients recommended or 1/3rd of a bag meal recommended.
But for me it tastes better and has an added bonus of stretching my powder a bit further.
-Worth noting in passing, all correspondence, illustrations & documentation is amusing, fun & Informative, not in a cynical corporate study way. in a personalised way. (either that or its the best advertising agency & study done)
TL:DR
Four stars not 5 as no notification of a shortage. (Massive props for free addition as apology though).
All necessary free measuring/mixing things included for free for new orders.
Does what it says, meal replacement, cheap, tasty (kind of like milkshake) and no bad effects noticed.
Cool/fun pictures and instructions if you read that kind of thing.”
“I am living on Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake for about a month and it has changed my life :-) I lost couple kilos of weight and I generally feel much better. I eat Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake instead of "wrong meals" during the day (which were usually fast food meals before then). I tried several other drinkable meals but this one is my favourite. The variety of flavours could be wider though. But better to have four great tasting flavours than broad range of indistinguishable powdery tastes.”
“I'm not using Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake as full 100% meal replacement but for lunch on workdays. I was really excited to test it and it's everything you could expect, some flavors (strawberry, chocolate) could be better but not a big factor for me.
The shaker is perfect and really nice to prepare your meal and keep it on the fridge.
One tip: use some tupperware once you open a bag, it'd be much easier to use it than directly from the bag.”
“If you don't have time to eat or cook, it's far healthier to eat Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake instead. I'm going keep buying it for this purpose. However, I do not recommend substituting all your food for Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake; it can be very boring.”
