“I'm a long time user (2y, 2x daily use) and there's been some controversy around the new formula (released in last month or so).
Firstly, credit where it's due, the new texture is incredibly good. Very smooth, very easy to shake and mix, no oat bits at all. I think this is a fantastic improvement and will help gain new customers.
The shake drops 2 stars because the new macro profile does not work for me, and will likely not work for many others. A reduction in protein to 75g, down from 135g, has lead to feeling fuller for a shorter duration. 75g per day is also the 'bare' minimum to maintain muscle for a normal 65kg human. So this is useless if you do any exercise at all and expect to gain muscle/'tone'.
I will likely continue drinking Plenny Shakes as they are more pleasant than, say Huel, but I think I'll also supplement protein alongside it.”
