“First time out running with my Kapow Inferno's, and surprise, surprise... I really like them!
These are "red" according to the Kapow website, but I'd say they are really a deep orange, so I wore a graphic sweatshirt for Halloween and some orange running shoes with them... and they matched perfectly. You could probably get away with wearing orange or red with them, but the shade of red would need to be just right, I think.
At any rate, these Inferno's are part of the "semi-shine performance" collection which have a somewhat shiny finish, along with a drawstring, back zipper pocket, and one side drop in pocket. For me when I am running, this is the perfect combination of functionality because I can keep my keys in the zipper pocket, my phone in the hip pocket, and use the drawstring to ensure they don't fall down.
My only complaint, and it's minor, is that they are a little too low-waisted for my taste. I have a bit of a muffin top belly from past obesity issues, so these sit just below that, whereas some of the other Kapow's I have are able to sit right above the belly button, which I prefer. Thanks to the drawstring, there's no issues with them falling down, so it's just a personal preference.
Overall, I really like them for running, and they are definitely a bold choice!
