“These are by far some of the most impressive legwear I've ever owned. The construction itself is quite sturdy and even after multiple wears, the scaling is holding in place quite nicely. As the website says, they're not specifically athletic wear but they hold up fine for any regular activities (and I've even done a few splits in them with no ill effect).
I have one small caveat, though- if you have unusually large legs in relation to your waist, go with the next size up so the space between the scaling doesn't stretch excessively. I have very large legs for my frame and when I ordered true to size (medium for a 32 inch waist), the gaps between each individual scale were quite noticeable.
Going with the large size made the leggings slightly more roomy in the waist but not baggy by any means and created a little extra length at the bottom. I normally wear these with boots so cuffing them at the bottom was no issue for me.
The one thing I'm not sure about is how well the scaling on the inside of the thighs will hold up after being owned for a long time- it seems like this kind of texturing would wear away after a million or so steps. So far so good, though.
