Hi Trichelle, oh no this is odd, is this what you were told when it was gifted to you? We don't currently work with solid gold, our product descriptions outline the material of each product (this ring is 14 karat gold fill). We aim to be super transparent and would never misrepresent this. I'm sorry you've had this experience.
