“I switched to the long crimp sleeves a good while ago and will not go back to the shorter sleeves. One long sleeve seems to work well for me and is easier than using two or three of the shorter sleeves (I don't over tighten or use long runs of wire). I have used one long sleeve for splicing broken wires and it seems to work as well as two of the short sleeves.”
