“I've used both the short and long crimp sleeves. They both work very well on 12.5 ga. wire and I've had no failures. The long sleeves are probably stronger than the short. The only drawback is that crimping them takes three hands, two to work the crimping tool and one to hold the crimp sleeve in place.”
